What do I actually need to send you to get started?
Just 3-4 of your best photos, a short description of what makes your place special, and your usual prices and availability. That's genuinely enough for us to build your first draft.
How long does it take to go live?
Most owners are live within 10 days of sending over their photos and details. You'll get a link to review and approve before anything goes public.
Do I need any technical skills to run my site?
No. Everything you'll actually touch day-to-day — prices, availability, manual bookings, calendar sync — lives on one simple admin page with plain-English labels and buttons. No code, no dashboard jargon.

Which template should I choose?
Whichever fits your property's character — a city apartment, a countryside cottage, or a seaside escape all have a starting point built for them.

Every one comes with a working booking form regardless of which you pick, and can be adjusted to fit your actual photos and colours.
If you'd prefer a fresh design, just let us know and we'll make some suggestions.
Fees & pricing
Do you take a commission on my bookings?
No — never. You pay us a simple monthly fee for the site itself (or a discounted yearly rate if you'd rather pay annually). Every booking a guest makes through it goes straight to you, commission-free, for as long as you use it.
How does that compare to what I'm paying Airbnb or Booking.com now?
Major platforms typically take somewhere around 15% of every booking. Try the calculator on the homepage with your own numbers to see roughly what that adds up to over a year.

Are there any ongoing costs after launch?
Yes — your site runs on a simple monthly fee for as long as you keep it, or you can switch to yearly billing for a discount. If you connect Stripe to take deposits online, Stripe's own standard card processing fee applies to those transactions too — that's Stripe's charge, not ours, and it's the same rate whether you're taking payments through us or anyone else.
Can I list on Airbnb or Booking.com as well as my own site?
Absolutely — plenty of owners keep a presence on the big platforms for extra visibility, while directing repeat guests, referrals, and their own marketing towards their own site to avoid the fee entirely on those bookings.
Am I locked into a contract?
No — there's no contract and no penalty for leaving. You pay monthly (or yearly, at a discount) and can cancel whenever you like.
Bookings & guests
How do guests actually pay?
You connect your own Stripe account, and guests pay a deposit (an amount you set) straight into your account when they book online. You can ask guests to pay the balance depending on your own terms, simply arrange a payment link via your Stripe account or (to save any further payment fees) ask for a direct payment to your own bank account.
After the initial confirmation email, all communications stay between you and your guests.
What if a guest books by phone or email instead of through the site?
You can add it manually from your admin page — dates and guest name are all that's required. It's confirmed immediately, no deposit taken through the site, and it automatically blocks those dates so there's no risk of a double-booking.
Can I charge more for peak season or bank holidays?
Yes — set a custom price for any specific date range directly from your admin page. Anything you don't set a custom price for just falls back to your default nightly rate.
Will my bookings show up in my normal calendar?
Yes — your admin page gives you a private link you can add to Google Calendar or Outlook, so bookings show up alongside the rest of your life without needing to check a separate dashboard.
What happens if a guest needs to cancel?
You cancel it from your admin page, which immediately frees those dates back up on your live site. Note this doesn't automatically refund a deposit — you'd handle that with your guest directly through Stripe if one was taken.
Your site & domain
Do I need my own domain name?
The monthly fee includes a domain name - when setting up your site we'll make some suggestions based on what names are available. The domain will be registered in your name and you are free to transfer it to your own registrar if you leave. Or, if you already own a domain we can point it at your site instead; either way works.
Can I update my own photos and prices later?
Prices, deposits, minimum nights and seasonal rates are all yours to change any time from your admin page, with changes reflected on your live site immediately. For photo or design changes, just get in touch and we'll make them for you.
Will my site actually show up on Google?
Every site we build is optimised for local search from day one — proper page titles, descriptions and structure that help you show up for searches like "[your village] holiday cottage". We also cover getting listed on Google Maps.
I own more than one holiday let — can I get a site for each?
Yes — each property gets its own site and its own admin page, so pricing, availability and bookings stay completely separate between properties.
Support
What if something on my site breaks or looks wrong?
Email us and we'll sort it — that's part of what your monthly fee covers, not an extra call-out charge.
Can you help me write the description and content for my site?
Yes — tell us what makes your place special and we'll turn that into the actual copy for your site. You're never handed a blank template and left to write it yourself.
Where can I read more about promoting my holiday home once it's live?
We publish regular guides on the Stay Local blog — Google Maps listings, social media, referral schemes and more.
